Basically, I think fragmentation is the way it&#039;s got to be, unless one manufacturer can dominate - which is not likely any time soon. In this industry, market forces drive fragmentation. The industry thrives on it as everybody tries to differentiate their offering. A far cry from developers, consumers still view phones as &#039;personal accessories&#039;, rather than standardized &#039;platforms&#039;. So manufacturers must market for innovation, it&#039;s how they drive sales. And to a large extent, innovation = breaking standards.

Thus, I&#039;ve come to see fragmentation as not so much a problem as the dynamic force that drives demand for our products. It&#039;s this Lion King, Circle of Life thing. Hakuna matata!  =]</description>
